Welcome to Black Boys Code

We are an organization dedicated to introducing boys of colour between the ages of 8 to 17 to computer science through one and two-day; workshops, after-school events and mentoring programs. Our programs are entirely focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). These programs are tailored to meet the needs of today’s youth through their formative years. By providing critical industry exposure and training in computer science, at an early age, these young men will become the technological innovators and leaders of tomorrow.

At BBC, our primary goal is to close the diversity gap within the technology field by teaching coding skills to boys of colour at a young age. By capturing their interests early-on and equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in tomorrow’s economy, these young men will be well positioned to pursue careers in the STEM fields and able to realize their full potential.
